Grand Cayman Wedding Photographers | Tranquility Cove
I just loved everything about this beautiful seaside wedding at Tranquility Cove. The entire day was filled with love and laughter. Rachael and Ricardo are the sweetest couple and I was so happy they asked me to share their day with them. I might have cried a couple of times during the wedding ;)…I just couldn’t help it. The energy that day was just beautiful!
Congratulations again Rachael and Ricardo. Wishing you a lifetime of love and success.

How did you two meet? We met when we were seated beside each other on a flight from Jamaica to Grand Cayman. We had an enjoyable conversation . Ricardo asked for my number and a month later we met up for drinks. |

How did he pop the question? I had family visiting and he took us to dinner at Cassanova. He arranged for special seating and for a beautifully decorated table with candles and red rose petals. During dinner Ricardo had arranged for Harpist Eugenio Leon to play Lionel Richie’s endless love and a number of other love songs. I was enjoying it all but still oblivious until he went down on one knee took out the ring and asked me if u would marry him. I was overcome with tears of joy and immediately said yes. |
|
How long have you been together? Four years |
|
What was your favorite moment(s) from the wedding? The moment he saw me and whispered in my ear how beautiful He thought I was at our first look was really special although it took place before the ceremony. During our vows as we looked deep in each other’s eyes. The blessing bestowed on us by my grandmother. Release of balloons in memory of my dad who recently passed. Our first dance. The awesome after party when all our guests kicked off their shoes and danced the night away and how could we forget the written tribute our daughters prepared for us. Honestly it was a perfect day and u could go in and on. |
|
How would you describe your overall wedding experience? It was not stressful at all. What was most important was to have an intimate wedding with our loved ones present. I enjoyed getting creative during the planning process and also had complete faith in all the people that came together to make our special day the best day ever! We had good food and drinks good company and most of all we enjoyed ourselves | |
What advice would you offer to other couples planning a destination wedding?
Have a good planner and caterer , check the weather and have a back up plan in the event of inclement weather. Enjoy it no matter what happens.
What photography-related advice would you offer to a couple?
Definitely do the first look shoot! If your budget allows have the photographer stay for the reception.
Tell me about your dress. Where did you find it, how did you choose it, how did you know it was the one?
Found my dress in Florida and it was the first dress I tried on after my friend Hana said “try this one on for me” I liked it but I had a completely different style in mind so I wanted to try on a few more. After trying on the other dresses I went back to it and at that moment I became overwhelmed and felt like a bride. I knew it was the one!
How was your experience taking photos/working with me on your wedding day?
It was an absolute pleasure as always working with you. Everything flowed. I knew you would capture all the details and had no concerns about you missing the special moments. We were totally comfortable.
Did you see each other before the wedding? If not, did you like waiting or would you have rather done it differently? Tell me why or why not!
Yes we did the first look which was so special. Thanks for the tip and encouragement!
Any tips on how to prepare for the wedding photos?
Have hair and makeup done before getting ready photos and have a glass of wine and candle burning to set the mood.
We love to hear about vendors you love. List any vendors here and feel free to share your experience. Be sure to include the name of the vendor, their profession, city/state, site or Facebook page and how your experience was!
Chef Remy Azavedo of Bombay chopsticks and Rent A Chef was amazing! Everything he prepared was mouthwatering. His team was amazing! Loved our signs from The Poppet Studio. special thanks to Juliette Heath of Five Star Events and to the Celebrations team for the decor set up. Loved our cake from The Cake Studio. My makeup was perfect thanks to Stephanie Ford Ramoon. My hair and junior bridesmaids hair was styled by Natasa of Rock Gorgeous!
What were you most anxious, nervous or fearful about regarding your wedding day and what was the outcome?
I was nervous about the weather! God is good apparently it rained every where else in Cayman but at Tranquility Cove!
What’s one piece of advice you would give to other couples for planning their wedding?
Remember that the most important thing is the union between the bride and groom. Nothing else matters so if some things do not go as planned just enjoy the day no matter what and focus on each other!
What was the first song you danced to as husband and wife? Father-daughter dance? Mother-son dance?
Ed Sheeran – Thinking out Loud
